Cities of Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill Geary Road Phase 3 Improvements Project

4LEAF provided part-time construction management and full-time inspection services to the City of Walnut Creek for the Phase 3 Geary Road Improvements Project. Geary Road connects Pleasant Hill Road with Treat Boulevard and serves as the only arterial connection between northwestern Walnut Creek and the Pleasant Hill BART station. Phase 3 of the project was the last phase of the corridor improvements along Geary Road from Putnam Road/Buena Vista Avenue to Pleasant Hill Road. The project improves overall transportation efficiency and pedestrian/bicycle safety through the construction of continuous dual left-turn lanes, an on-street exclusive bike lane, a pedestrian sidewalk, street parking, landscaping, and improved storm water drainage. Traffic signals at Buena Vista Avenue and Pleasant Hill Road were modified and street lighting was improved as well.
