Downtown Burlingame Avenue Area Utility Improvements Project

4LEAF provided construction management and inspection services to the City of Burlingame in support of their multi-phased Downtown Burlingame Avenue Area Improvement and Rehabilitation projects. 4LEAF was initially selected by the City to provide these services for Phase 1 and was selected to perform these same services for Phase 2. These projects were performed in the downtown area of Burlingame’s business district and surrounding residential neighborhoods. The projects included abandoning, relocating, and replacing multiple utilities (water mains and appurtances, fire hydrants, electrical, sanitary sewers, and storm drains); demolishing existing and installing new sidewalks, curbs, and gutters; and paving roadways affected by the construction activities. Installation of new underground utilities utilized a combination of pipe-bursting and open-trench methods. The project required coordination with multiple agencies including PG&E, Caltrans, AT&T, and the City of Burlingame.
