I-15 Design Build Project

4LEAF provided senior roadway and electrical inspectors for staff augmentation on this $245 million Nevada Department of Transportation design-build project.The I-15 Design-Build project is intended to increase traffic capacity on this very busy stretch of freeway from Tropicana Avenue to just south of Blue Diamond Road (US 160).  The project includes widening the freeway, addition of collector-distributor roads, five re-designed interchanges, 26 new bridge sections including one railroad bridge, 35 retaining walls, and 1 1/2 miles of sound wall.  Additional elements of work included concrete paving, asphalt paving, ITS signage, drainage, video surveillance, high-mast lighting, and landscaping.  Almost all work was performed at night due to the very high traffic volumes on this reach of freeway.
