Mount Diablo State Park Road Improvements

4LEAF provided construction inspection services to the South Gate Road System Improvements project in Mount Diablo State Park. South Gate Road is one of two entrance points for the approximately 20,000-acre park. As part of the long-term Mt. Diablo Road and Trail Plan, improvements to South Gate Road focused on maximizing visitor uses and experiences, reducing potential safety conflicts, minimizing natural and cultural resource impacts, and providing access to surrounding public lands.   Extensive reconstruction and rehabilitation was performed on the roadway over a period of six months, and included asphalt overlay on existing asphalt and repaired sections of roadway that had been reconstructed using compacted road base material.
